Tirupati: In an important development in the politics of Chittoor district, YSRCP MLA Chandragiri Dr Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy formally announced on Friday that his son Chevireddy Mohit Reddy would contest from the seat Chandragiri Assembly Seat on a YSRCP ticket in 2024 general election,
The two-time MLA from the Chandragiri Assembly constituency has also held several other additional nominated positions as Government Whip, Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) President and ex-officio member of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams etc.
Apart from these nominated posts, Dr. Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy has also served as the District President of YSRCP for Tirupati and was recently appointed as the State Coordinator for Frontal Organizations of the party.
While the ruling party leadership is yet to formally announce its candidates to contest in the 2024 general elections, Chevireddy has announced his son as the next YSRCP candidate to contest from the Chandragiri assembly seat. has become especially important at that time.
