Kolkata: Five bundles of answer sheets of Higher Secondary Certificate Examination found on the side of the road Coochbehar of West Bengal on Saturday.
The HS Council has identified the examiner whose negligence led to the incident and ordered the North Bengal Regional Office to send a detailed report soon.
The exam was held on March 18 and the answer sheets found on the roadside were yet to be evaluated.
Dulal Burman is a part time teacher of Mahakali Nayarhat KNB Secondary School coochbehar It was learned that a plastic bag containing five packets of answer sheets was found lying on the road.
He said, “Today during my morning walk, I heard two boys discussing about a plastic bag full of answer sheets, which had gone missing. When I was coming back home, I heard that someone in our neighborhood found And when I reached his house, I saw that he was full of answer sheets. Trying to open the bag to see what was there. I immediately contacted the council and handed over these packets.”
Council chairman Chiranjib Bhattacharya directed the North Bengal regional office to submit a detailed report soon.
Chairman Chiranjib Bhattacharya said, “It is a very unfortunate incident. We have already identified the examiner and asked the district office to send a detailed report on it. We came to know that when he left the chief examiner’s house While returning, one of his plastic bags was lost. Collection of answer sheets for evaluation. He tied all the plastic bags to his bike but one packet went missing during his ride. However, the answer sheets were intact and we can assure that the incident will not affect the evaluation process. We always try to sensitize that examiners and head examiners should be careful and maintain confidentiality of all answer sheets but still such sporadic incidents happened which was not desirable.”
