Iran: Four Pakistani soldiers killed in ‘terror attack’ along Iran border

The ISPR said that “necessary communication” was being done with the Iranian side for “effective action against terrorists” in their territory and to prevent such incidents in future.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, which resembles previous attacks by Baloch nationalists who have been involved in a low-level insurgency.

He tweeted, “Sons of the country are sacrificing their lives to protect their land, the whole country salutes them, the country is united in the fight against terrorism.”
Prime Minister shehbaz sharifwho expressed grief over the incident, said in a statement: “The sons of the soil are laying down their lives to protect and safeguard the country”, and that freeing the country from terrorism was the national agenda.
In January, four security personnel were killed during “terrorist activity” along the Pakistan-Iran border in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.
The incident was condemned by senior Pakistani officials and the Foreign Office asked Iran To punish the guilty and ensure thorough investigation.
Pakistan Shares a long border with Iran and militants, who often sneak across, use it to launch attacks on troops.
