NEW DELHI: Olympian swimmers supported by ENGN Mana Patel won two silver medals in the 53rd Singapore National Age Group Championship in the senior class. The championships took place between 14 and 19 March at the OCBC Aquatic Center in Singapore. He won the silver medal in both the 50 and 100 m backstroke events with timings of 29.86 seconds and 1:04.26 minutes.
Commenting on yet another win, Mana said, “Participating in international competitions is an important part of my development as an athlete. It helps me understand my competition, my areas of improvement and also my strong suits. Singapore is a place that has always been close to my heart. I enjoy racing here as I am competing against some of the best swimmers in Asia.”
Mana recently won four gold and two bronze in the 75th Senior National Aquatic Championship to be held in Guwahati in September 2022. She also won the best female swimmer award of the tournament.
Mana is an international swimmer specializing in backstroke. She is the first Indian female swimmer to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. He is also the current 100m backstroke national record holder. He aims for a podium finish in 2024 Paris Olympics,
