Fresh from his win in Hyderabad (Telangana) Women’s Boxing World Championshipgold medalist Nikhat Zareen On Saturday, Sports Authority of India officials and fans gave a warm welcome at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.
Nikhat claims his second world boxing Championship gold and retained the title, becoming only the second Indian female athlete to have two World Championship gold medals to her credit.
The flamboyant boxer capped off an outstanding campaign at the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships with a resounding victory in the final at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex.

State Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud, SAT chairman E Anjaneya Goud and other officials received the boxer at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and posed for photographs with the champion.
Nikhat Zareen said, “It was a new experience to play in a new weight category, which is also an Olympic category. I am very happy to win this medal at home.”
